The music of Land & Hildebrand is very difficult to categorize. Theirs is a good blend of elements of rock, country, blues, comedy and down home story tellin’. It’s no accident that in early 1983 Ray asked Paul to ‘share the shame’ at a coffee house in Northern Missouri. Since then, they have spent a lot of time harmonizing and humorizing and spreading their blend of truth and ‘tomfoolery.’ Some of the songs … are the results of that time together, and some have been gathered from other waggish minstrels. No matter what style of music you prefer, there’s bound to be one or two here just for you…"
